Landslide, a Novel by Melissa Leet, Antrim House

Jill grows up in an expansive Garden with her best friend Susie. The Garden’s realm has many rooms, each a showcase of her mother’s designs. Into the Garden, tragedy strikes, a landslide crashing in. When loss hits hard, how to find the resilience to go on, especially when you are only a young girl?

Cross-cutting between Jill’s childhood and adult life, Landslide explores the nature of resurgence.  During all that occurs as Jill comes of age and moves through life, the Garden is a constant, reverberating through Jill’s psyche and in her heart. Teeming with poignant grief, humor, and love, Landslide is a resplendent exploration of the truth that death can sometimes open paths as wondrous as those created by life.

Praise

“Such a magical world of love, family, loss and renewal Melissa Leet has created in Landslide! I love the deep humanity of this novel, its generosity of spirit, its faith in the self and the self’s interrelationship with others and with the invisible universe. The book’s enchantment makes one want to slip between its covers and inhabit every page.”
